Dec 23rd

Made our way back to Barrie today but couldn't resist a visit to see our friend, Mary, so we dropped in on her lunch break at work. Katie was happy to unwrap another present only to discover a brand new friend, a Panda!

Dec 22

Woke up to an ice storm the next morning and eventually lost power at Mark's house. Thank goodness we already planned to spend the day at Laura's house and she happened to still have power.

Dec 21st continued

It was a full on day after her nap... Christmas with the Edwards family... 

Lots of presents to be opened!

Andrew couldn't get enough of Katie and thoroughly enjoyed feeding her a bottle before bed... 

Dec 21st

Fast asleep, all on her own, at uncle Mark's house. Boy are we ever glad that we started "sleep training" a week earlier. We are definitely happy to teach her how to sleep (and fall asleep!) in "unfamiliar places".

Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa E at uncle Rob's place in Waterloo and having a bath for the first time in a "big tub" and LOVING it! I don't think we'll be able to go back to her small tub anymore. She LOVES having so much room to splash and flap her arms and legs. Can't wait for swimming lessons to start in January! I think Katie is gonna have so much fun!

Dec 20th

A wee family gathering at grandma and grandpa Gs house today before heading to Waterloo. Katie got to hang with her cousin Nate, received her first "money present" from great-grandma G, and got dressed up in her festive clothes, even sporting some "elf" shoes that have some family history to them.

Had a lovely visit from Angie today. Angie brought along an adorable hat crocheted by her mom and some adorable little socks to match!

Getting adjusted at the chiropractors office. We think she likes it! Must be Sebastian's gentle touch...

All sorts of standing today. She's pretty happy about it too!

We attended an ugly sweater Christmas party tonight. Walked there using the stroller since it was in our part of town. Temp was something like -20 with the windchill but we bundled her up real good so she wasn't cold. The party was fun, but appeared to be too much stimulation for her once more people showed up as she couldn't even take her bottle without crying. Might have been the dog barking that pushed her over the edge...
So many new sounds and experiences for her. Its neat to see what she can cope with and what she can not.

Dec 12

A happy girl this morning. She was enjoying tummy time in her crib and checking out her aquarium for the first time.

Later today she was happy to do more tummy time after a nice long nearly 2 hour nap that she started while rocking in my arms without any tears! Tomorrow we are thinking about starting sleep training to get her to sleep on her own... We'll see how that pans out.

Sporting her new merino wool outfit that was sent from her kiwi friends, Nic and Aaron. We love it! So soft, so warm, and so cute!

Dec 7th

Big day today!
Sent mom and dad off for the Santa Pursuit in Waterloo while grandma and grandpa E babysat.

Afterwards she got to hang with her cousins, Andrew and Nathan while they played her some cool tunes on the piano.

Uncle Rob also spent some time making her giggle while experiencing some tummy time and droing all over their dining room floor.

After driving back to Barrie, we went straight to Nic and Lukes where she got to hang with her cousin, Nate, and her other 2nd cousin, Gavin and his dad Orville who were in town for a hockey tournament.
